Speculative Dystopias is a keynote on seeing terrible and dystopian futures today to help avoid them tomorrow presented by Nikolas Badminton prepared and delivered for the 2021 KMikeyM Shareholder Conference.
Nikolas has just signed a book deal to write and release an essential guide to foresight and using dystopian planning – looking at future horizons at what might become from developing societal and capitalist roadmaps focused on short-termism (quart-by-quarter revenue grinding), technological colonization, conflict (civil, war and otherwise), and geopolitics in struggle due to nationalism and ego.

The future is unwritten and we all hope for goodness in what transpires. However, short-termism leads to difficult situations and has resulted in a constant state of what we futurists call ‘collapse’. Nikolas Badminton has spent years looking into the darkness to drive discussions on what may be wrought by terrible futures caused by our (read industry and government’s) limited and selfish thinking.
