From China’s investment in electric buses, to shattering the electric car driving range in a homemade vehicle, to Tesla racing drag cars, to taking to the skies – we have it all in this post on the 10 Amazing Electric Vehicle Stories that inspire and fuel me as an electric vehicle advocate.
My story is that I’ve been extolling the virtues of EVs for about 3 years however I’m a relative newcomer to electric vehicle ownership. In July 2018 I stepped up and started walking my talk and bought a 2018 Chevy Bolt (named ZIGGY).
I have to say that it’s changed my perception on how cars work, road trips, electrical infrastructure, wider public opinion (both good and bad), and driving altogether. I’ll share a more posts on that in the coming weeks and months.

This homegrown BMW shattered the EV range – (1,204+) KM

ITAP built ‘The Phoenix’ at a cost of just $13K. It was built in forty days, and is manufactured from 90% Consumer Waste.
On 7/07/2017 they drove ‘The Phoenix’ car 1,204 KM on a single charge.
They set the World Record driving four (4) days without charging from Bakersfield to The Capital, to Tesla HQ and Apple HQ, IFixIT HQ, and Back.. They also cheekily attempted to go visit TESLA but they were not having it. Incredible!
