Insights April 27th, 2018

Yesterday (April 26th, 2018) Nikolas had the pleasure of presenting the future of mobility to the Automotive Industries of Canada on the changes and opportunities in Solar Power, Electric Vehicles (EVs), Autonomous Vehicles and our future mobility infrastructures. That inspired this post – ‘The End of Oil in Canada and Our Exponential Future’.

Humans have more options for mobility than at any other point in history. Every mode of transportation – from walking to automobiles – is being evolved and disrupted. And, with this disruption comes the quickening of the Third Industrial Revolution. Communications, energy, and transportation have been the defining factor in each of the Industrial Revolutions and we are on the cusp of a huge change in the automotive industry.
In this presentation, Nikolas looks at trends in technology, the automotive industry, mobility, and the aftermarket and make some bold predictions that may surprise you.

A speaker (a very well-know journalist) spoke after me with some of the same ideas but lambasted the BC ‘green NDP-voting tree huggers’ for blocking Kinder Morgan. And, that we need to get oil out of the ground to pay for transition to solar.
Canada’s (and the world’s) future doesn’t include burning fossil fuels in transportation, energy production, or anything. It includes and abundant energy infrastructure delivered from hydro, wind, and solar distributed through a globally-connected energy grid.
I believe in a new progressive Canada. Not an old oil-rich Canada whose business model has a limited future that will leave stranded assets.

We have no place for ‘Futurists’ like this in the context of progressive thinking.

Nikolas will fight on this in every presentation he gives where energy is a central or related theme. That’s his promise to you, and to future generations of Canadians, and citizens of the world.
