Dr. Eric Topol talks on the Future of Individualized Medicine and has also just released his new book ‘Deep Medicine: How Artificial Intelligence Can Make Healthcare Human Again‘ and has always been an inspirational speaker in the realm of digitized medicine and the disruption of that industry.
I often use this quote from Dr. Topol to create some perspective with my audiences:

“When I went to medical school, the term ‘digital’ applied only to rectal exams.”

Dr. Topol is the founder and director of the Scripps Translational Science Institute and executive vice president of The Scripps Research Institute. This keynote, given at the at Future of Genomic Medicine Conference in 2018, provides an update on individualized medicine.
