Eric Lundgren and his team from IT Asset Partners Inc. (ITAP) has built an electric vehicle (EV) capable of traveling 1,600 kilometers (994 miles) on a single battery charge.

The recycled BMW (aka The Phoenix) was:

  • Built at a cost a total of USD$13K
  • Built in (40) days
  • Manufactured from 90% Consumer Waste.

On 7th July 2017 the car drove 1,204kms on a single charge.
They set the World Record driving four days without charging from Bakersfield to The Capital, to Tesla HQ and Apple HQ, IFixIT HQ, and Back.
They say that they built this car for Elon Musk, to prove that he was right per 1,000km being capable in 2017.
