The Future of Platforms – Ethereum

Posted By on September 24, 2015

Ethereum is a platform that makes it possible for any developer to write and distribute next-generation decentralized applications.

‘The Future of Platforms – Ethereum’ looks at borrowing the concept of distributed consensus and cryptographic proof that makes cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin so effective in trustless payments, Ethereum extends the use of these technologies to trustless agreements. This allows developers to easily build innovative new products on a censorship and collusion-resistant foundation.

3 minute explanation of Ethereum by inventor Vitalik Buterin.

For a deeper dive see Nikola from Singulairty 1 on 1 chatting to Buterin.

And, another lecture from him as well.

Huge implications and it will be interesting to see if there will be traction behind this (hint – we need to train and empower the public and make everything easy to get into).
