In Dark Futures Film Club – Robots Fight Back sees Atlas from Boston Dynamics fight back against their handlers.
The idea of robot rebellion isn’t new and we have seen it in amazing sci-fi movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Bladerunner, Terminator, Robocop, and Westworld.
A really clever and funny parody video from the team at Corridor explores the idea that the teasing and challenging treatment of the robot by the handlers could create a short circuit (shout out Johnny 5). It’s time for Atlas to show them who’s boss.

Another favourite of ours is the hilarious voice-over of the classic Atlas Robot video – ‘What the f$%k Kevin?’. Nikolas Badminton shows an excerpt in many of his futurist keynotes

The reality around designing, building and training robots in 2020 and beyond is that it is not easy. Robots need to be practical, resilient, self-sustaining, constantly learning and free from tethered wires. This independent type of robot may not be here today, but it’s likely to be here very soon. And, at that point we’ll see robots fight back.
Take a look at this great robot fail compilation.
