In ‘The Dalai Lama on Compassion and Technology’ we see his holiness in the Netherlands speak in two conversations on robotics, telepresence, artificial intelligence (A.I.),  sickness, aging and health.
This is a fascinating conversation that delves into the progress and implications  of robotics, telepresence, and artificial intelligence and who we are in the world. In the second part of the conversation we see the focus switch over to the inevitability sickness, aging, and death.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was joined by Karen Dolva, CEO of telepresence company No Isolation, Liz Parrish, CEO of BioViva Sciences, Jeantine Lunshof, a bio-ethicist at MIT Media Lab, and Selma Boulmalf, a religious studies student at University of Amsterdam. Also, joining them is Maarten Steinbuch, faculty chair of robotics, and Kris Verburgh, faculty chair of health and medicine at Singularity University in the Netherlands.
The event was held at De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, Netherlands on September 15, 2018.
