Here we see Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his team demo impressive Social VR software at Oculus Connect 3. A look at Facebook’s vision of how people will interact in Social VR.  This is a game changer.

3 predictions from me on this kinds of social VR experience and how it will change our lives:

  1. Emoticons will change to human expressions and we will become actors with real-life theatrics expressing ourselves. This may make more people outgoing but hugely irritating in real-life.
  2. Many people will live in alternate worlds for hours at a time with their friends. Facebook usage will go through the roof.
  3. Work collaboration will start to happen through Facebook using business productivity tools.
