The future of AR with Kharis O'Connell
Humans and machines have been interacting for half a century, and we’ve come a long way from the punched cards of old. But in the last 20 years, the pace of innovation in human-computer interaction has really accelerated.
New interfaces, and the peace dividends of the mobile phone and game console wars, have given us new ways to work with data, algorithms, and machines. In this talk, Meta’s Kharis O’Connell looks at the last 20 years of human-computer interaction, what impact it’s had on the world, and how that impact has in turn influenced new forms of immersive technology. Ultimately, he’ll conclude that the promise of Augmented Reality is really about humans, and how we understand and interact with the world around us.
