The Future of Agriculture (AgEx 2015 Keynote)

The Agricultural Excellence Conference brought together diverse industry experts from across disciplines, regions and commodity sectors to share and explore beneficial farm management practices, advice, and insight with leading farm business thinkers.

Nikolas Badminton provided the closing keynote speech entitled ‘The Future of Agriculture – Innovations That Will Rock Your Farm’.

The presentation started with a challenge stated by the United Nations:

Food production must increase with 60% to be able to feed the growing population expected to hit 9 billion in 2050.

The presentation covered how farming is changing and profiles innovations that could help meet the needs of the world to have an abundance of food, these include:

  • Autonomous Vehicles and Drones
  • Big Data
  • AR and VR
