Future Camp is an unconference that brings together the keenest minds in the Pacific Northwest to discuss and debate where the future is taking us.

Attendees create the (un)conference the day of on subjects that include, but are not limited to: Technology and Humanity, Transhumanism, Cyborgs, Big Data, Wearables, Internet of Things, Medicine, Transport, Finance, Agriculture, Cities, Government, Education, Ethics, Virtual and Augmented Reality, The App Economy, Humanity, Love, Sex and intimacy, Mindfulness, Military, Psychedelics, Work, Security, Privacy, Music, Media, Advertising, Finance, Manufacturing, Fashion, Transport and Automotive, Industries, Creativity, and other areas of interest that affect the world today and in the future of how society will work.

8:30 – 9:00AM: Doors open & Welcome

9:15 – 9:45AM: Featured Speaker – Dr. Marina Adshade

9:45 – 10:15 AM: Featured Speaker – Ryan Betts

10:15 – 10:45 AM: Host keynote – Nikolas Badminton ‘The Future of the Internet of Wisdom.’

10:45 AM: Ideation & Session Postings

11:15 AM: Run of the day presentation

11:30 AM: Sessions

12:30 PM: Break for lunch – bring your own or head out to local establishments.

1:30 PM: Sessions

2:30 PM: Sessions

3:30 PM: Sessions

4:30 PM: Decompression and decampment to a local bar.

The day will start off with 3 keynotes. Following that, all attendees will brainstorm and suggest sessions that work in an open format and we will vote on which ones are scheduled into the day.

Remember, this is your conference and we invite you to contribute via:

  • Presentations: 15 to 20 mins with visual aids then Q & A. Come with a prepared presentation or an idea supported by visual reference (videos online, images, articles etc.). A great opportunity to provide well-considered opinions.
  • Debates: Two people present arguments for and against specific subjects. We invite the audience to get involved in the debate as well.
  • Discussions: Smaller groups discuss specific areas in a round table format.
  • Show & Tell: Do you have some future idea or technology or an invention to show? If so, then showcase it.

If you have an idea beforehand, or want to showcase some technology, then send us your ideas by 12:00pm on Friday May 5th to nik@nikolasbadminton.com along with your name, idea, and format that you’d like to use and we can include them for consideration by the attendees on the day.
