On Tuesday November 3rd at 10am PT / 18:00 GMT I presented at the Disruptive Innovation Festival which is curated by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. The festival is taking place over three weeks from 2nd – 20th November.

“The DIF brings together thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, businesses, makers, learners and doers to catalyse system-level change for a future economy. Over three weeks, using a mix of online and face to face events, participants have an abundance of opportunities to explore the economy through a different lens. We want to share all the ways you and our partners are challenging the linear ‘take make and dispose’ model of the economy, replacing it by a more prosperous regenerative and circular economy – is this the ultimate disruption?”

My session is called ‘G.R.O.W: Building Successful Business Operations and Culture in 2016 and Beyond‘ and is perfect for startups, businesses struggling to change and grow, and those people considering starting their own business in a fresh and sustainable way.

In this I discuss the sharing economy and new modes for working in the G.R.O.W. model:

  • Growth-driven and productive
  • Radical working practices
  • Open communities
  • Working smarter

This session will also answer 3 key questions…

  1. How do you capitalize on the sharing economy to find new resources in your neighbourhood?
  2. How do you capitalize on the expertise in your local network?
  3. How do you build an hugely successful and ethical business by running lean and giving you staff room to innovate?
